Outsourcing not very dangerous to attorney-client privilege, says Todd (July 2008)

In an in-depth interview with the Journal Record, Director and Shareholder Douglas M. Todd discussed that although the legal blogging community has recently been abuzz about the ramifications of outsourcing when it comes to attorney-client privilege, Todd had a more pragmatic approach. In the article, Todd pointed out that mail can get lost, cell phone calls are not the most secure and faxes can be mistakenly sent or delivered to unintended recipients. Additionally, Todd communicated that in order for there to be a breach in attorney-client privilege, there needs to be a strong degree of intent on behalf of the attorney.
