Recognizing that excellence and diversity are intertwined, Phillips McFall is committed to attracting, retaining and promoting a diverse group of qualified attorneys and staff. Our view of diversity includes a variety of experiences, backgrounds, viewpoints and perspectives in addition to race, religion, national origin, gender and sexual orientation. All of our attorneys are valued for their unique gifts and talents. We believe that by incorporating diversity into our firm philosophy, we broaden the perspective of our team and strengthen the quality of our services.
Phillips McFall proudly supports the commitment to diversity adopted by the chief legal officers of numerous corporations. This commitment, set forth in Diversity in the Workplace: A Statement of Principle, provides in part:
"[W]e value highly the perspectives and varied experiences which are found only in a diverse workplace. Our companies recognize that diversity makes for a broader, richer environment which produces more creative thinking and solutions. Thus, we believe that promoting diversity is essential to the success of our respective business. It is also the right thing to do."
Diversity Committee
The firm's Diversity Committee has the full support of firm management. The Committee is made up of a diverse group of dedicated partners who meet regularly and work towards well-defined goals. The Diversity Committee works closely with our Recruiting and Executive Committees and reports regularly on the status of diversity-oriented goals and achievements.
The Diversity Committee's mission is to facilitate the implementation of proactive policies addressing the issues of recruiting, retaining and promoting qualified attorneys in all practice areas with the goal of increasing diversity in the firm. In addition, the Diversity Committee monitors existing policies and practices to assure they are consistent with, and actively promote, the diversity goals of the firm.
